Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing all medical services along with the Medical Director. Additionally, the DON will be responsible for overseeing all Nurses and Medical Technicians employed at all facilities. The DON will perform initial History & Physicals, regular Follow‐Ups, obtain test results, and check the patient’s vitals on a set schedule. The DON will oversee the functions and performances of Nurses and the Medical Technicians while providing services to patients. Additionally, the DON will prescribe medication in coordination with the physician. The DON will be responsible for checking the patient’s withdrawal symptoms and ensuring a safe detoxification process as well and reporting to the Medical Director. As a DON, you will ensure that medications are administered and documented appropriately. The records must meet all legal and regulatory requirements. As DON, you will be responsible for overseeing all records regarding medical services performed.

Salary: $205,000-$320,000
The posted pay range is a reasonable estimate that the organization believes in good faith it may pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. Pay may consider several factors including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, training, hours/shifts worked, business need, and education. Pay ranges may be adjusted in the future depending upon many factors including business needs.

- Supervise other licensed and non‐licensed staff in the day‐to‐day delivery of patient care.
- Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.
- Oversee medical staff on duty and audit/review charts daily
- Provide medical care and, in coordination with the physician, orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
- Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Provide outstanding individualized resident care.
- Coordinate Psychiatrist visits and ensure that all Psychiatrist visits are being tracked and performed according to need, payor requirement, and company policy.
- On‐call for all facilities 24/7 in case of medical emergency.
- Perform H&Ps within 24 hours of admission and Follow‐Up visits as required by payors and company policy.
- Complete all required documentation within stipulated timeframes.
- Maintain all Joint Commission and State standards for medical services.
- Other duties as assigned
Required education and experience:
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Valid driver’s license
- Doctor of Psychiatry
